The Morning Anointing

First Light

The Morning Anointing

A south Indian ritual of warm oil, breath, and bath — practiced before the household stirs.

  1. 01Warm a palmful of Khadi Body Oil between the hands.
  2. 02Anoint the crown, the shoulders, the belly, the soles.
  3. 03Sit. Breathe. Wait twelve minutes.
  4. 04Bathe in warm water with a hand-cured Kannauj Soap.
The Marble Bath

The Still Hour

The Marble Bath

Drawn from the bathing halls of Rajputana — milk, rose, vetiver, and silence.

  1. 01Run the bath warm. Pour two capfuls of Rajwadi Bath Oil.
  2. 02Light Smoke of Mysore. Let it find its breath.
  3. 03Step in. Twenty minutes. No phone. No screen.
  4. 04Pat the oil into skin. Wrap in linen.
The Attar Hour

Dusk

The Attar Hour

A perfumed pause between the day and the evening.

  1. 01Touch Mysore Attar to the wrist, throat, breastbone.
  2. 02Wait. The wood blooms in three minutes.
  3. 03Walk into the room a quieter version of the day.
The Noor Anointing

Moonlight

The Noor Anointing

An Awadh-court ritual of saffron, jasmine, and slow midnight massage.

  1. 01Warm three drops of Kaira Noor Elixir between the palms.
  2. 02Trace along the parting, breath drawn slow.
  3. 03Massage from crown to nape in unhurried circles.
  4. 04Sleep on a silk pillowcase. Let the night carry the work.
